LETTER: Jamestown S’Klallam tribe supports Dave Neupert for Clallam Superior Court justice

The Jamestown S’Klallam Tribal Council, the elected body representing the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe, has endorsed Dave Neupert in his bid for Clallam County Superior Court justice Position 2.

In addition, I as tribal council chair/CEO have personally endorsed Neupert.

Neupert introduced himself to the Tribal Council on July 18, and the Tribal Council asked him to speak on several issues, including mental health, veterans, drug court and therapeutic court. At their Aug. 16 meeting, convinced that he would represent our community effectively as a Superior Court justice, the Tribal Council formally endorsed Neupert and made a financial contribution to his campaign.

I have the utmost respect for and confidence in Dave’s experience, background and abilities.

He has proven his value as a public servant through his work with the Clallam County District Court, Pro-Bono Lawyers, the Public Defender’s Office and his professional affiliations with Lower Elwha Klallam and Quileute tribal courts.

His community work on various boards including Habitat for Humanity, the Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce and Peninsula Community Mental Health Center is impressive and reflects how much he cares about the people and welfare of this community.

W. Ron Allen,

Blyn
