I was thinking today about the perfect position of our earth from the sun, and the size and gravitational force of our planet. It us just right for our existence and for millions of other species.

I was thinking too about the wonderful relationship that we oxygen breathers have with plant species that take in our expired CO2 and convert it to oxygen.

What an excellent system.

In this era of Trumpian chaos, it is important to remember these things.

Every year, new record-high temperatures are recorded.

Our perfect planet is heating up.

The lie that climate change is a hoax can be repeated endlessly but will still not make it true.

This should not be a political issue.

Every human being alive is dependent on the health of this system.

The science is clear and confirmed through mountains of evidence that we are heating up our own precious planet through carbon emissions.

Global warming.

That means the average temperature of the planet is increasing.

What will be more important to our children and grandchildren?

Will it be that the present fossil fuel-dependent economy was subsidized and allowed to continue to heat up the planet?

Or will those descendants thank us for preserving the very ecosystems that allow them to flourish as we have flourished for thousands of years?

This is not about politics.

This is about self-preservation.
