I read the article in the paper about the proposed Amazon distribution center in Port Angeles.
I have no expert information on the research that has gone into this proposal, but I do have questions about it.
First, why is the rent for Amazon so cheap? That rent is probably Amazon’s income for less than an hour.
Secondly, questions about the jobs being created. Will they be full-time with benefits? Will they pay a living wage so workers can buy a house and send their kids to school locally?
Please help me understand how truck traffic will be less?
I know that Amazon is a fact of life. I hope that doesn’t mean they will be in charge of life on the Peninsula.
