The Sept. 16 Seattle Times article headline “Bike lane could put squeeze on Fourth Avenue” would fit the coverage of our local Race Street “multi-modal” proposal (“Race Street Improvement Plans Shown At Port Angeles Meeting,” PDN, Sept. 17).
Isn’t this project a leftover remnant of long-ago plans for Lauridsen Boulevard as a bypass?
As a Mount Angeles Road resident using Race Street, I suggest this is mostly a grant-chasing scheme.
And a classic example of a “blivot” defined as “10 pounds of [blank] packaged in a 5-pound bag.”
Please, no.
