LETTER: Recent letter writer forgot a few facts about the president

A recent letter writer complained about “propaganda and fake news” and that the Democrats’ agenda “is to indoctrinate the public and bring down a duly elected president” (“Defends Trump,” Aug. 29, PDN).

Here are just a few proven facts about the president:

1. The president bragged about being able to sexually assault women.

2. The president disparaged a war hero for getting captured and tortured.

3. The president has been proven to bold-face lie hundreds of times.

4. The president pardoned a convicted sheriff, before any prison time served, and then bragged, in an on-air press conference, about timing the press release during a devastating hurricane to get bigger ratings for his announcement, according to news reports.

5. When in Corpus Christi, Texas, the president told hundreds of spectators, (whose homes had been destroyed and probably had no other place to go), “What a crowd, what a turnout,” according to news reports — again, making it all about him.

6. And repeatedly, the president calls out “fake news.”

Do you know who also called the news fake and discredited the free press?

The sad answer is Hitler, Mussolini, Pol Pot, Nikita Khrushchev and every dictator on Earth.

These are just a few of the facts about the president.

I guess the letter writer forgot those facts.
