LETTER: Roberson for state rep

Occasionally a political candidate appears with a personal history evoking inspiration and respect.

Matthew Roberson, running for the state House of Representatives in the 24th Legislative District, is that candidate.

Against the odds, Roberson overcame childhood adversity and proved America remains a land of endless opportunity for those willing to work hard and persevere.

Now, he would like to use his strength and experience to represent us as a state legislator.

As a deputy prosecutor for Clallam County, he has unique insight into our Legislature’s role in causing the failing public safety record of our state.

As a young father and homeowner, he has well-informed opinions about the cost of living increases fueled by ill-advised government policies and public schools where half of the students fail to perform at grade levels.

He questions affordable housing chatter and efforts that refuse to acknowledge at least 20 percent of new construction costs are due to government regulations.

Matthew Roberson deserves your vote, and you deserve what he offers our state.
