LETTER: This shall pass

A few things I’ve noticed this morning.

The sun still came up. The coffee tasted excellent. I slept in a warm, dry bed. My view of snow-capped Olympics is breathtaking.

Eagles still soar under a blue sky. The colors of nature still brilliant. The grass still green and finding its way to rise above the hardening frozen earth.

The clouds continue to circle the planet. The birds continue their daily routine and feed upon the food I’ve provided them. They have no need for politics or religion.

The beauty of the bare tree in autumn that shed all its leaves gets ready for another season of uncertainty.

Inevitable changes upon all that exist.

This is life to its fullest.

Rejoice in the shifting of paradigms, rejoice in the ability to breath, to hug your child, to watch your dog sleep soundly in peace.

We cannot control what we do not understand. Only breathe one breath at a time. Providing our cells the opportunity to live another day.

Our entropic journey is alive and well. Rise above and seek the virtue of our lives.

This too shall pass.

I need another cup of coffee.
