I have but one word to say about the letter from the person urging all mandates be ended and we in Washington should “open up now.”
Unbelievable.
So slapping on a mask every time you venture out into public is inconvenient and not having the Irrigation Festival is somewhat disheartening.
Would the letter writer rather be hooked up to a ventilator in a hospital?
I am the first to admit putting on a face mask every time I go to the grocery store is a bit of a pain, and I’d like to do the Rhody Run and other 10K races, but considering what the alternative is, I’ll gladly put on that face mask.
Maybe the letter writer would like to move to Texas or Tennessee.
Those states have shelved those bad ‘ole mandates and are opening up their bars and restaurants again.
So what if their infection rates are rising.
At least they don’t have to put on their face masks.
