LETTER: Upset by blurring

We are living in a parody, and if it wasn’t reality, it would be laughable.

There are people living in our Sequim community who are offended by seeing a cross in the background of a home Zoom call.

Calling the cross a partisan symbol, like a donkey or elephant, intimating that being a Christian is only on one side.

Sounds like the Sequim city council members who object to this wall hanging are fearful they will burst into flames if they, God forbid, view a cross.

How do they drive down streets in Sequim past churches?

Claiming they are enforcing the division between church and state is ridiculous; they are harassing their conservative colleague.

Are they policing any jewelry worn by Sequim council members, making sure no one has a cross hanging around their neck when they are attending their meetings?

Is a strip search next?

The Constitution recognizes freedom of religion, not freedom from religion.
