I always look forward to Pat Neal’s column.
He provides historical and human interest aspects of the area.
More importantly, he critiques the decisions made by experts, especially in the area of salmon recovery and backcountry use.
Humbugging our experts is an established right and duty of citizens.
I will do my part by saying the millions spent to open stream access under U.S. Highway 101 is a politically correct thing to do but is ultimately a waste, since overfishing and habitat destruction will continue unabated.
Go ahead, think about what is wrong with things and speak up.
Lucky for us, Pat can do it an an entertaining way.
