Perhaps, rather than asking Canada’s prime minister for compensation for the air pollution caused by Canada’s mismanagement of its forests, as suggested by a recent letter writer [“Canadian air,” PDN, Aug. 4-5], time would be better spent collecting funds and items needed by the Canadians suffering the results of the wildfires.
And how about being grateful that all we have is the smoke and not the fires?
