Surely with our elementary and high school students lagging in math, English, science and social studies because of COVID restrictions, one would expect a significant interest in qualified school district directors running for office for the Nov. 7 election.
Unfortunately, only three candidates are running in the Port Angeles School District and they are all running unopposed.
One candidate who appears signally unqualified for this very important position is now being challenged by write-in candidate Chris Noble.
Chris Noble in Port Angeles is eminently qualified and motivated to lead as a member of the Port Angeles School District Board.
For the past two years he has been a substitute teacher and volunteer assistant in Stevens Middle School and Port Angeles High School math classes.
He is a volunteer member of the board of the Port Angeles Symphony Orchestra.
Chris has a bachelor’s degree from University of Washington and a doctorate from Cornell University.
Chris has been a professor and consulting actuary.
As an actuary, he was engaged in long-range financial planning for large pension plans.
Chris is passionate about delivering quality education and he will serve our public school students, teachers, and parents tirelessly.
We need and deserve a talented and capable alternative to the candidate running unopposed for position No. 3.
I urge you to join me to write in Chris Noble for Port Angeles School District director, position No. 3.
