There is a rare opportunity available for only one more weekend at the Port Angeles Community Players theatre.
“To the Moon” is a very new (2021) play by Beth Kander that goes deeply into the overly simple minded idea that the way to change people’s minds is with statistics called reality.
This play delicately and solidly presents the value of telling your story. Based on over 2,000 interviews with abused people it is a composite of stories that everyone will, no doubt, be able to find some direct way to relate to.
The actors are truly dedicated and very mature about what it is they are revealing. The directors, Mindy Gelder and Ken Winters, have created a great theatre experience by embracing the audience into the lives of these people. And the after performance talk with the actors and directors alone is worth much more than the price of admission.
Show originally planned for this weekend were canceled due to illness but there is one more weekend to see the play.
Please take advantage of this rare opportunity to see serious, well-crafted, meaningful theatre next Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
