LETTER:Transparent elections

After receiving excellent training from the auditor’s staff, I observed how the ballots are handled and counted for Clallam County.

Just as I had heard, it was pretty boring to watch dedicated workers doing their jobs.

Because there are so many checks and balances for ballots, it seemed totally unnecessary as well as boring.

It is a great privilege that we have in this democracy to be able to have that transparency with our elections. There is no way an individual, or small group of people, could affect the vote count.

I would like to formally thank the staff at the auditor’s office for their diligence and expertise, ensuring that our votes are accurately counted.
