A leter published Oct. 24 was a smear campaign against Jim McEntire, a candidate for Olympic Medical Center commissioner.
Jim McEntire is a veteran who has admirably served our country, our county and our community. He is an honest person with integrity who doesnot seve to hbe the target of destrotions of his historial record. That smear letter made claims relating to these three things:
First, the required travel Jim McEntire did for the Port of\ Port Angeles was for official business and was not frivolous or self-serving.
Second, the governor put discretionary money into startup capitol for our Composite Recycling Technology Center, which remains a going concern. It is part of publicly-owned infrastructure.
This fulfilled Jim McEntire’s campaign promise.
His use of Opportunity Funds were always applied appropriately and should not have been controversial.
Jim McEntire is a fiscal conservative and his public record in office reflects that fact.
Third, the letter claimed Jim McEntire has not attended hospital commission meetings.
For the record, I verified that he has been attending the Hospital District 2 commission meetings for months.
Jim McEntire is the best candidate for hospital commissioner. He has common sense, along with experience.
Vote for Jim McEntire.
