As I lay prone on the pavement in front of Sequim City Hall last week for 8:46 minutes with my hands clasped behind my back, my cheek pressed against the pavement, my eyes were just a couple of inches above the pavers.
I could see every pebble and every particle of concrete; they were my entire view of the world.
This must have also been the last view George Floyd had in the last several minutes of his life with a knee against his neck, pushing his head into the street surface until he lost consciousness and then his pulse.
