Backpack blessing offered in Port Angeles

PORT ANGELES — Holy Trinity Lutheran Church will provide backpack blessings at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The public can bring backpacks and school bags to the church’s playground area, 301 E. Lopez Ave, to have them blessed for the upcoming school year.

The blessing is free, but attendees must RSVP by calling 360-452-2323 or emailing htlc@olypen.com.

COVID-19 precautions will be announced shortly before the event to those who have RSVP’d.

With teams of two to four, contestants try to put together a puzzle in a two-hour time limit. Justin Senter and Rachel Cook finished their puzzle in 54 minutes to win the event.
