Bless the beasts run scheduled at Port Townsend Golf Course

PORT TOWNSEND — The Humane Society of Jefferson County and the Church of BuVu will sponsor the “Bless the Beasts and Children Fun Run” at noon Sunday, Sept. 29.

The race, billed as “A run for the Rest of Us,” will start at the driving range at the Port Townsend Golf Course, 1948 Blaine St., and end at the clubhouse, 500 yards away.

The Halfway Cafe, a cookie and coffee station, will be positioned at the midpoint for those who need sustenance to complete the course.

A $40 donation will cover race entry, cookies and coffee at the mid-way point; race entry is free for children and pets.

All entrants will be included in a drawing for a t-shirt.

Proceeds will benefit such charities as the Humane Society of Jefferson County, the YMCA’s Building Futures Program, the Applied Education Foundation and Kicks for Kids.

Registration is available at www.guestlist.co/events/7.
