The comet NEOWISE shines in the northeast sky over Port Townsend at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The comet, which was discovered in March 2020, is heading for the sun and will not return for over 6,000 years.
NASA experts will discuss and answer public questions about Comet C/2020 F3 NEOWISE during a broadcast of NASA Science Live and follow-up media teleconference Wednesday, July 15.
The comet is visible with the naked-eye in the early morning sky and, starting this week, after sunset.
