PORT ANGELES — There will be an observance of National Day of Prayer at noon Thursday.
The public, non-denominational gathering is slated for Hollywood Beach adjacent to the city pier.
The annual event, held the first Thursday in May, was created in 1952 by joint resolution of Congress to invite people of all faiths to pray for the nation.
