Developmental playgroup scheduled Saturday

SEQUIM — Clallam County Parent to Parent and Clallam Mosaic will host Play with a Purpose from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

The monthly developmental playgroup, for children 5-years and younger, will meet at the Sequim YMCA, 610 N. Fifth St.; YMCA membership is not required for the playgroup.

The playgroup will focus on gross and fine motor development; expressive and receptive language communication; social and emotional skills; adaptive and self-care skills; and feeding issues.

The program includes a parent participation group facilitated by Catherine McKinney and led by Laura Hogan-Reyes.

Siblings are welcome to attend.

Masks are optional, but mask wearing is advised; hand washing, social distancing and sanitizing will be practiced.

Additional Play with a Purpose sessions are set for the third Saturdays of September, October, November and December.
