The Ecumenical Christian Helping Hands Organization (ECHHO) recently presented the Bruce and Jeanette Travis Award to Margie Gormly, who was the organization’s 2022 volunteer of year. She was recognized for logging more than 7,000 miles throughout the year, driving Jefferson County residents to medical appointments. The nonprofit helps Jefferson County residents with transportation to and from medical appointments, shopping and errands and no-cost medical equipment loans.
