Brandan Tucker has received the inaugural BEE award at Olympic Medical Center.

PORT ANGELES — Brandan Tucker has received the inaugural BEE award at Olympic Medical Center.

The award, for Being Excellent Everyday, was presented by Jennifer Burkhardt, the center’s chief human resources officer.

Tucker was recognized for his work as an emergency room technician.

Staff at Olympic Medical Center may be nominated for future BEE awards by patients, family members or colleagues at www.olympicmedical.org/thankyou.

In 2017, BCHW certified sawyer Larry Baysinger, left, spent a day teaching, and getting chainsaw-certified, members of the new Mt. Olympus Chapter, enabling them to use a chainsaw to clear West End trails of fallen trees and branches. Sadly, due to diminished membership, the chapter is closing.
