Head Start, Early Head Start and ECEAP are recruiting eligible children and families for the 2022-2023 school year in Sequim, Port Angeles, Port Townsend, Forks, Port Hadlock, Port Ludlow and Chimacum, representatives with Olympic Community Action Programs (OlyCAP) announced recently.
There are no costs for low-income families or children who may be over the income guidelines but have a special need or disability.
The various programs provide meals, transportation support, educational and social/health services for eligible children without regard to race, gender or national origin. Parent involvement is actively encouraged and is critical to the success of the program, OlyCAP representatives said.
The programs accept applications year-round for all services and maintain ongoing wait lists.
These preschool programs offer part-day and full-day services for children up to 5 years of age.
To apply, provide proof of income for 12 months and proof of birth. For families of children with diagnosed special needs, include a copy of their current IEP or IFSP.
