PORT ANGELES — Carlos Gil will present “From Mexican to Mexican-American: A Family Immigration Story” at 6 p.m. today; he will also present the lecture in Spanish at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Gil’s presentation is based on his book, “We Became Mexican-American: How Our Immigrant Family Survived to Pursue the American Dream,” and explores Mexican immigration by spotlighting his family’s experiences in southern California.
The lecture will stream on Zoom. Participants must register at www.nols.org to receive the meeting link.
Gil, a professor of Latin American history, is a member of the Humanities Washington Speakers Bureau.
