THIS WEEK’S MUSICAL lineup includes a CD release party, a visit by a local Nashville, Tenn., winner, a campout, a 50-year celebration and a “Retirement Sucks” coming-back party. Read on!

Port Angeles

■ The 2nd Friday Art Rock (2FAR) at Bar N9ne, 229 W. First St., features Rate Limiting Step celebrating the release of its new CD, “The Painted Jumpsuit.” The CD features locally inspired songs about the bus, ferries and Clallam County along with Friday song lyrics written by past 2FAR attendees. Shell out $5 for a CD because that will be donated to local charities. Three local artists and perhaps you, too, will be “painting” the band’s jumpsuits with dry media — check it out at 8 p.m. $3 cover.

■ Tonight at Castaways Restaurant and Night Club, 1213 Marine Drive, come on down for Jerry’s Country Jam (no jelly here) from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. If country’s your style, come and dance or play plugged or unplugged.

On Friday and Saturday, the Jimmy Hoffman Band returns to where they began these many years ago. With Jimmy (guitar) are Israel Butler (keyboards), Rudy Maxion (bass) and Ron “Sticks” Casey (drums) belting out classic rock, country and more from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

He’s only here for a visit, so stop in while he’s here.
