SEQUIM — The Kiwanis Club of Sequim-Dungeness will sell emergency water purification filters from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
The club will sell the filters in front of the Mariner Cafe, 609 W. Washington St.
The club is offering the Emergency-H2O Water Filter Roll-up system for $50 each, with proceeds benefiting Kiwanis programs in the Sequim-Dungeness Valley.
According to a press release, the system will filter up to 10 gallons per hour, removing 99.99 percent of bacteria and can filter 3,000 gallons.
Current emergency management recommendations suggest that households store 30 gallons of fresh water per person.
High-efficiency water filters can help to provide additional safe drinking water during a disaster.
