PORT ANGELES — The Attessa IV, a luxury yacht, sits anchored in Port Angeles Harbor after completing a journey from Orcas Island, part of a longer journey from San Diego.
The 328-foot-long ship, owned by Dennis Washington, stopped for fuel and provisions before heading north to Alaska or Canada, Port Angeles Boat Haven Harbormaster Erik Widsteen said.
“We get a lot of yachts coming through, but that’s definitely a bigger yacht,” said Widsteen, who added the crew helped the local economy.
Washington’s network of companies includes Washington Marine Group and Seaspan Shipyards in North Vancouver, British Columbia.
