Naturopath to discuss staying health during cold, flu season during Sequim presentation

PORT ANGELES — “How to Stay Healthy During Cold and Flu Season” will be the topic at the next WOW! Working on Wellness Forum.

The free forum will be at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 14 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave.

Dr. Carol Vincent-Hall, a naturopathic physician, will talk about how to avoid getting sick and how to recover quickly if illness does strike.

During this presentation, Vincent-Hall will talk about how to improve the immune system with vitamins and herbal supplements, dietary effects on the ability to resist disease, some contagious behaviors, what to do after exposure and a few supplies to have in the medicine cabinet.

Vincent-Hall received a doctorate in naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University in 1995. She is a general practitioner and owner of Outrageous Heath Care Inc. in Sequim.

WOW! Working on Wellness is a health education program of Dungeness Valley Health & Wellness Clinic, Sequim’s free clinic.

The clinic provides basic urgent care and chronic health care services to uninsured community members. The Basic Urgent Care Clinic is open to patients Monday and Thursday evenings beginning at 5.
