Mingee recognized
PORT ANGELES — The DAISY Foundation has recognized Cheryl Mingee with its DAISY award.
Mingee is a registered nurse in the intensive care unit and telemetry department at Olympic Medical Center.
The award recognizes the extraordinary, compassionate nursing care provided to patients and families.
The foundation, which takes its name from the acronym Diseases Attacking the Immune System, was established by the family of J. Patrick Barnes, who died in 1999 from complications of the auto-immune disease idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura.
