PORT ANGELES — The Healthy Community Resource Fair is set for Thursday in the Pirate Union Building on the Port Angeles campus of Peninsula College.
The free fair, at 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles, will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is open to students, staff, faculty and community members to allow them to connect with various organizations providing essential services to meet basic needs in the community.

The fair will feature a diverse range of services involving health care, recovery, employment, housing, food assistance and education, among others.
They include Olympic Community Action Programs (OlyCAP); North Olympic Healthcare Network; the R.E.A.L. Team; The Market, which aims to vanquish hunger; WorkForce at Peninsula College, which supports professional technical field students; WorkSource; First Step Family Support Center; Serenity House of Clallam County, which addresses homelessness; Healthy Families of Clallam County, which offers services for those affected by violence and abuse; League of Women Voters of Clallam County; and services for Students with Disabilities at PC.
In addition to the resource booths, the fair will host a series of Educational Resource Workshops in Room J47, including “Tools for Healthy Relationships,” from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.; “Mental Health Strategies,” from 11 a.m. to noon; “Introduction to WorkSource Programs,” from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.; and “Financial Capabilities,” from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
