Brad Schroeder of Sequim pushes his 7-year-old daughter Madelynne, front, and her 6-year-old friend Piper Cook, middle, at the Port Angeles Winter Ice Village on Sunday.

The ice rink at 121 W. Front St. is operated by volunteers and will remain open daily through Jan. 6.

Officials with the Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce are asking people who are interested in volunteering to do so at bit.ly/icehelp.

They also are urging people to sign waivers before skating by visiting bit.ly/icewaiver.
