‘Sleeping well’ scheduled

SEQUIM — Psychologist Mike McBride will present “Sleeping Well, Staying Healthy” at 7 p.m. Monday.

McBride will speak at the Sequim Seventh-day Adventist Church, 30 Sanford Lane.

He will discuss the connection between sleeping well and staying healthy as we age as well as how inadequate sleep can contribute to medical conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, stroke, depression and cognitive impairment/dementia. McBride will also discuss ways to improve sleep quality.

McBride holds a doctorate in psychology and is a member of the American Board of Medical Psychology.
