PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Downtown Association will host an orientation meeting for Heritage Days volunteers at 2 p.m. Sunday.
The meeting will be at the PADA office, 208 N. Laurel St.
Volunteer labor will be needed at events before, during and after Heritage Days, Sept. 14-16.
They will help with setup and teardown of events, ticket sales, greeting and miscellaneous other tasks.
Various commitments
Jobs with various time commitments will be available for ages 10 and older.
Juried vendors also are needed for the Heritage Days “Below the Street Fair,” located in the Front Street parking lot east of Zak’s at 125 W. Front St.
The fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16.
Artists in any medium are encouraged to apply for vendor space.
Artwork should reflect images of the community’s past or the 2012 theme, “Port Angeles’ 150th Birthday.”
The art should celebrate the rich history, colorful people or wild stories of our area.
Vendors also could include antiques of more than 50 years old and vintage clothing.
Each 10-foot-by-10-foot space is $100.
Vendors will need to supply their own tents, tables, etc.
Electricity is not available.
