Womanfest registration closes Sunday

The retreat, set Sept. 23-25, includes meals cooked in the lakeside lodge, swimming, canoeing and other relaxing activities.

PORT ANGELES — Registration closes Sunday for Womanfest’s fall weekend retreat, set Sept. 23-25.

The retreat has been held annually for more than 30 years at Camp David Jr., the Clallam County park on the north shore of Lake Crescent.

It includes meals cooked in the lakeside lodge, crafts, walks on nearby trails, swimming, canoeing and other relaxing activities the women choose.

The cost is $110 and covers all meals, snacks and two nights’ accommodation in rustic Camp David’s cabins.

Proceeds benefit Womanfest, a nonprofit organization composed of women from Port Angeles, Sequim and Port Townsend that awards scholarships to local college students and hosts International Women’s Day celebrations in Port Angeles every spring.

To register and for further details, go to www.womanfest.org and click on “Fall Retreat.”
