Port Angeles — Dan May and Mac A. Macdonald will present “Earthquake and Tsunami Preparedness for Mariners” during a meeting of the Port Angeles Yacht Club at 7 p.m. Thursday.
The club meets at 6:30 p.m. in its clubhouse at 1305 Marine Drive.
May, a geology professor, and Macdonald, an emergency preparedness strategist, will discuss local geology as it relates to earthquakes and tsunamis and then present a variety of on-the-water scenarios and recommended responses.
The public is invited to this free presentation.
