PORT TOWNSEND — Bill Thorness will present “Veggies Year Round: Growing Edibles Through All Seasons” from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Thorness’ presentation is part of the 25th Yard and Garden online lecture series sponsored by the Jefferson County Master Gardener Foundation.

Thorness is the author of “Edible Heirlooms: Heritage Vegetables for the Maritime Garden” and “Cool Season Gardener: Extend the Harvest, Plan Ahead, and Grow Vegetables Year Round.”

The lectures will be presented online from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays through March 25.

Tickets for the series cost $60; single lecture tickets are $12 each, if space is available.

Upcoming lectures include:

• March 4: Candice Gohn, Lexi Koch, and Sharrai Morgan-Faulkner, “Growing, Harvesting, and Arranging Amazing Local Flowers.”

• Marc 11: Del Brummet, “Plants for a Better Planet with Great Plant Picks.”

• March 18: Susan Mulvihill, “Attracting Beneficial Insects.”

• March 25: Muriel Nesbitt, “How Climate Change is Robbing You (and Your Garden) of Nutrients.”
