On April 1, 2010, Liz Parks and her husband Richard took a leap of faith by purchasing RE/MAX on Fifth Avenue where Liz had worked since 2007.

What they built over the next decade and a half would become a steadfast real-estate service built on trust, professionalism and integrity.

As Liz reflects on RE/MAX Prime’s journey, she’s most proud of the steady growth and the culture of loyalty among her brokers. Some of the original team members who joined right after she took over, Michael McAleer-Team McAleer, Trisha Cobb and Shawnna Rigg, they remain part of the business to this day.

“Bigger isn’t always better,” Liz explains. “Slow and steady wins the race. We don’t chase numbers; we focus on taking care of our clients.”

Even through difficult times, that philosophy has been the backbone of the agency’s success.

During the pandemic, when uncertainty gripped the real estate market, RE/MAX Prime stayed strong. Liz’s team remained committed, maintaining their business and relationships. “We never lost sight of our clients, and that consistency kept us moving forward.”

Beyond transactions, what sets RE/MAX Prime apart is its culture. “We truly are a family,” Liz says. “Even though each broker is an independent contractor, we support each other. Life happens– whether it’s taking care of aging parents, needing a vacation or dealing with personal hardships – our team steps up. We help each other because we care.”

The longevity of Liz’s team speaks volumes. There are a few brokers that have been licensed for more than 20 years, bringing a combined 160+ years of experience!

Liz believes in treating people the way you would want to be treated, she hopes that her brokers and the firm’s clients have felt the kindness and professionalism at RE/MAX Prime.

Now retired as of Dec. 31, 2024, Liz has left the agency in the capable hands of designated broker and manager Therese Byrne. “She’s doing an incredible job,” Liz says proudly. “I haven’t had to step in once. That tells you everything.”
