PORT ANGELES — Information leading to the conviction of a Port Angeles man wanted for investigation of multiple domestic-violence-related charges could net someone $1,000, North Olympic Crime Stoppers announced this week.
Representatives from Crime Stoppers have issued the reward for information leading to the felony conviction of 27-year-old Andrew David Nilsson, also known as Andrew Stanger.
Port Angeles police served a search warrant at Nilsson’s house in the 200 block of Eighth Street on Oct. 3 but did not find him.
Nilsson has been on the run since.
Last week, Nilsson was charged in absentia in Clallam County Superior Court with one count of harassment/threats to kill and one count each of second-degree assault/strangulation, unlawful imprisonment, harassment/threats to kill and fourth-degree assault, all of which are domestic-violence-related.
All the charges against Nilsson stem from events occurring Sept. 26-30 involving alleged domestic-violence assault against a single individual.
Port Angeles police said they suspect Nilsson — who is white, has brown hair and blue eyes, stands 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds — may be out of Washington by now, though no firm leads have been collected.
Police said Nilsson possibly may be armed with an AK-47 and potentially dangerous.
Police have told anyone who thinks he or she might have seen Nilsson to call 9-1-1.
Anonymous tips about Nilsson’s whereabouts can be left with North Olympic Crime Stoppers by calling 800-222-TIPS (8477).
