NEAH BAY — Roughly 1,533 Clallam County Public Utility District customers were without power in the Neah Bay and Clallam Bay areas beginning at 4:10 p.m. today.
“The PUD has responded and is working to restore power,” PUD spokesman Mike Howe said in a news release at 6 p.m.
Howe estimated that power would be restored at some point late in the evening, several hours from the time of his update.
The outage was caused by a power pole that broke in high winds.
