U.S. Highway 101 near Barnes Creek in the Lake Crescent area was reopened by 7:35 p.m. after it was blocked by fallen trees at about 6:22 p.m. tonight.
Both lanes of the highway were blocked by the trees, the state Department of Transportation said.
The fallen trees, however, cut power to areas of Forks, Beaver and Lake Crescent, Mike Howe of Clallam County Public Utility District said.
Howe said Power restoration is expected to take until early in the morning, perhaps around 2 a.m.
Areas of Clallam County have been raked by high winds this evening.
