PORT ANGELES — The Peninsula Daily News’ website was out for about four hours today because of a glitch involving its host company’s equipment.
An internal mechanism that distributes data from the PDN and other websites hosted nationwide by Atlanta-based Saxotech, a division of Newscycle Solutions, failed about 9:10 a.m. PDT.
The outage, which also affected the website of the PDN’s sister newspaper in Sound Publishing Inc., The Daily Herald of Everett, ended shortly after 1 p.m.
There was no immediate report on how many other websites were affected.
