BRINNON — An 88-year-old Brinnon man who was the subject of a silver alert has been found dead, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Foul play is not suspected.
The Sheriff’s Office took a missing persons report last Wednesday on Donald G. Evanson, a dementia patient who had not been seen since last Tuesday.
On Saturday, a silver alert was broadcast regarding Evanson and his blue Ford pickup truck.
At about 4:05 p.m. Saturday, a Pierce County man who was cross country skiing reported finding a male body next to a blue pickup on U.S. Forest Service land up Duckabush Road.
A deputy responded and confirmed that it was Evanson.
It appears that Evanson’s vehicle became stuck in snowy conditions about 11 miles west of U.S. Highway 101, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
