CAROL POPLE (CENTER) played a borrowed frottoir as Terrance Simien (at the mike) and his Zydeco Experience band brought a shot of energy to Port Angeles on Saturday.
Carol is with the Juan de Fuca Foundation of the Arts, which sponsored the show at PA High School.
She was drafted to join the band for a set after being among dozens in the audience who got out their seats and danced in front of the stage to Simien’s well-simmered, two-hour mixture of blues, R&B and Louisiana Cajun rhythms.
