New stone is laid on the steps of Port Townsend’s new community plaza at Pope Marine Park on Wednesday.
The plaza is adjacent to the remodeled historic Cotton Building — seen in the background — which will become a visitor information center.
The Cotton Building will be dedicated at 1 p.m. April 30 and the plaza will be dedicated — along with Gerard Tsutakawa’s bronze statue, “Salish Sea Circle” — at 1 p.m. May 14.
