PORT TOWNSEND – Port of Port Townsend officials have selected a public advisory committee to help guide renovation of about half of Port Townsend Boat Haven marina.
“Certainly, we’ll consider all thoughts and ideas,” said Larry Crockett, Port of Port Townsend executive director.
Port commissioners last week gave an initial nod to an advisory committee list Crockett presented to them.
With planning and permitting matters ahead, port officials do not expect to see work on the Boat Haven’s commercial and AD docks until fall 2009.
The marina is home to about 475 vessels of different sizes, about half of which are served at the commercial and AB docks.
At least two years of planning and securing permits will be required before work begins at Port Townsend Boat Haven Marina, port officials said.
