PORT ANGELES — Employees at Angeles Composite Technologies Inc., or ACTI, have voted to leave the International Association of Machinists, according to the company.
“After having had the opportunity to have a union represent them, the employees decided to vote the union out and work directly with ACTI again,” said a news release from the company.
Unions officials could not immediately be reached for comment.
The company said the decision was “overwhelming” at an election initiated by the employees and run by the National Labor Relations Board.
“The 75 bargaining unit members voted over 2 to 1 in favor of decertification,” the news release said.
