PORT TOWNSEND — The East Jefferson Chapter of Puget Sound Anglers will return to in-person monthly meetings on June 11, it announced last week.
The meetings will be at 6:30 p.m. in the Marina Room at Point Hudson Marina.
To celebrate the club’s first meeting in over a year, Captain John Beath has been invited to offer timely tips on where and how to catch your limit just as the summer salmon season approaches.
Beath is an experienced charter captain who has fished local waters since he was 5 years old, club members said.
Other meeting events will include a raffle with three grand prizes: a tuna trip with Gold Rush Charters, an ocean salmon trip and lodging for two with Excel fishing Charters, and a guided river trip for steelhead with Howell Charter Service.
The group also will auction gear and gift certificates from area shops and restaurants. The total value of prizes and auction items is more than $2,000.
