PORT TOWNSEND — Jefferson County Administrator John Fischbach underwent knee replacement surgery last week and is expected to take three to six weeks to recover before he can return to the helm at the county courthouse.
Fischbach underwent his second knee replacement surgery Wednesday morning at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. The operation was planned and the county commissioners were expecting it, said Commissioner Pat Rodgers, R-Brinnon.
“The last we heard he’s doing fine,” Rodgers said Friday night.
“And that’s a very painful, difficult surgery.”
