PORT ANGELES — Married musicians Cort and Kia Armstrong will bring their old-time songs to town for a no-cover-charge performance Thursday.
The venue is Bella Italia, 118 E. First St., for another in the Third Thursday Live music series from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m.
“Join us for great local food and music,” said Cort, who along with his wife, Kia, released “Live in Dungeness,” a CD full of old-time country and blues, last year.
Some of the album’s 14 songs could be on Thursday’s set list, such as “Sixteen Tons,” “I’m the Boss of This Here House,” “Backslidin’ Blues” and “Keep Your Lamp Trimmed and Burning.”
Since the record, Cort and Kia have been busy with a variety of projects — he plays in FarmStrong, Blue Rooster and other bands, she manages a local farm and they have a 1-year-old son — so this is a rare chance to see them step up on stage together.
